sandra_bozer.jpg Sandra Bozer took her first painting class in 1996. It was a Rec & Ed evening class at Clague Middle School on the basics of painting using acrylic paints.  The following years, Sandra explored acrylic painting, watercolors, water-based oil paints, pastels, and drawing.

Sandra's love for oil painting and portraiture began with a portrait workshop taken in 2001.  She has discovered the many facets and techniques of oil painting through intense self-study, from the classes and workshops taken locally and around the country, and studying with accomplished and nationally recognized artists.

Appreciating her initial start of painting, Sandra wants to give back to the program that got her started: Rec & Ed.  "It's a wonderful program that helps the people in the community explore new areas that may enhance their lives."

Jennifer Wolf teaches adult watercolor classes.  She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University, with majors in painting and printmaking, and a minor in art history.  While earning her degree, Jennifer was the teaching assistant for the lithography department.  Jennifer's artistic philosophy has remained unchanged for twenty years – she is a "process person" energized by artistic experimentation and the challenges of translating ideas to canvas or paper.  She adheres to the adage "paint what you know," stating that "…regardless of what inspires a person to create a work of art, the inspiration needs to come from a very personal level if one is to sustain an interest in the artistic process."
