Welcome to Pickleball!

I love the game--so many things about it. It's fun and different.   I'm not usually a team sports player--I'd rather exercise without anyone depending on me.  Pickleball is different, partly because of the more relaxed atmosphere.  I like playing with a variety of people.  It's good exercise, and not too stressful on my joints.   I've seen a lot of improvement in my game, yet I can improve at my own pace.  It gets me out and  moving around in a fun way, and especially in the  COLD months, that's very valuable.  And it's even inexpensive.  And the people are around my age--so I don't have to try to keep up with 20 year olds.  Mostly, it's fun!

  • Pickleball was created during the summer of 1965 and is currently the fastest growing sport in the United States.

  • It is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches, and uses a perforated plastic ball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles.
  • Pickleball is popular with all age groups and easy to learn.
