Monarchs

at Green Adventures Camp!

All summer we have been observing local Milkweed plants, watching for signs of Monarch activity. We have seen eggs develop into caterpillars, caterpillars change into chrysalis and then the beautiful butterfly emerge from it's chrysalis. This process of metamorphosis is interesting to watch, and we have gladly, and a little sadly, let the adult butterflies fly free. We like to believe that some of the butterflies we now see in our garden are our very "own" butterflies!
