| Before School Care |
This program offers care for elementary children from 7:15 until the beginning of the school day. It is designed to both compliment and enrich the child's school experience. Activities and a morning snack are offered. See enrollment and fees for enrollment information.
|
| Kcare |
Although the main purpose of this Kindergarten program is to care for children during the half day in which they are not in school, it is also designed to help children meet the AAPS kindergarten outcomes and enrich the kindergarten experience. Programs are offered mornings or afternoons depending on the school. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate changing needs. See enrollment and fees for enrollment information.
|
| EDO |
The Extended Day Option (EDO) is a half day enrichment program offered at some schools, provided right in the child's kindergarten classroom and directed by the child's kindergarten teacher. The program is designed to ensure an atmosphere that is developmentally appropriate for the children it serves. All children in this program must attend Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Download the EDO Parent Handbook for more information.
|
| After School Care |
This program starts at the end of the school day and runs until 6:00 pm. An array of activities and a snack are offered. Staff also works closely with the building staff in order to help with homework and other school projects. See enrollment and fees for enrollment information.

| Fun Days |
|
Fun Day programs offer full-day care to SACC families on some of the days that school is not in session. Care is available from 7:15-6:00 pm. A full day of fun, often including a field trip, is offered. Fliers are mailed to active families a month in advance and are available at all the childcare sites. The Fun Day program is offered at a single site and space is limited, so sign up as early as possible. Please call the Community Education office at 734-994-2300 to check on availability.
|
| Mid-Winter Break and Spring Break Camps |
Mini camps are run all day during the mid-winter and spring breaks. See the AAPS calendar for dates. These camps offer field trips, outdoor activities and a multitude of indoor activities. These camps are available to families enrolled in the School Age Child Care Program during the current year. Space is limited, so early registration is suggested. Please call the Community Education office at 734-994-2300 to check on availability.

| A Note About Field Trips: |
|
As part of the consent form, all parents sign a general permission for their children to participate in any field trip. This allows the child to be taken on walking field trips. All child care supervisors are to let parents know, in writing, of any preplanned field trips. Besides written notification, which often includes a request for a parent’s signature, an announcement of the field trip will be posted on the Parent’s Bulletin Board at the childcare site.
On occasion, parents will be asked to contribute a small fee for special activities such as bowling, roller skating and pizza parties. Parents will be given a recommendation for the amount of spending money to send along. This amount is always optional.
