Dale Jensen is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. He has a long-standing interest in teaching, movement, well-being, and healing. He brings his experience as an environmental educator, a physics instructor, technical trainer, meditator, and aikido practitioner to his Feldenkrais teaching. When not studying Feldenkrais, he spends his time playing football and building Legos with his two boys, growing his garden, cooking, and spending time with his wife.

Active in the Feldenkrais community, Dale currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Feldenkrais Guild of North America and volunteers his IT skills in various capacities.

Dr. Dan Geck received his degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has spent the last 12 years studying in the fields of Clinical Nutrition and Chiropractic. In his practice he focuses on finding the underlying causes to the chronic symptom patterns people deal with in their daily lives.

Why I Do This

There are the many health benefits that I experience personally:
 my whole body is stronger
my balance is much better than it was
my breathing capacity is much greater
I am much more aware of where my body is, what it can do

I feel a lot more competent, physically
I appreciate the beauty of the movements
Waking up in the morning is a chance to go practice!
I’ve got a way to focus and exercise that’s good for relaxation, this helps to not get bogged down in anxiety or frustrations

Paying more attention to how my own body and mind are working transfers to paying more attention to the surrounding world, people and things. There’s a lot to see, anywhere you are!

Sensei Nigel Kerr is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Tai-Ki and has been granted license to teach Tai-Ki by Juko-Kai International (JKI).  Nigel also receives personal and on-going training under Dr. Rod Sacharnoski, Dai-Soke, 10th Dan, the President of JKI and its Asian-recognized martial arts.  Nigel is an active member of JKI, studying Tai-Ki and other JKI arts.

Wasentha Young began her study in 1968 with Grandmaster William C.C. Chen. She is nationally published and is known for her teaching abilities and integrative communication skills. Wasentha Young has also received formal instruction in Taoist and Buddhist Meditation and has achieved certification in Acupressure (Institute of Acupressure in Berkley, CA) and as a Wellness Counselor in Mind/Body Consciousness (Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Palo Alto, CA). An instructor since 1974 she opened the Peaceful Dragon School in 1990.

Gary Merel, M.S.L.Ac is a graduate of the New York College of Healthcare Professionals. He has an M.S. in Oriental Medicine, which includes both acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine. Gary has been in practice for the last 8 years and is a current member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAAOM).

Most recently, Gary has obtained a Certification in Enzyme Nutrition from the Loomis Institute in Madison Wisconsin.

Deep Spring Center is a community of individuals who are asking questions about how we can live with more clarity and love. The foundation of our meditation program is Insight Meditation (Vipassana). It is a simple and direct practice: the moment-to-moment investigation of the mind/body process through calm, focused awareness. This process of opening, non-judgmentally and compassionately to ourselves, moves from the sitting period to the whole of our lives. We balance insight practice with lovingkindness and a deepening awareness of our true nature, which is eternal and present now. Although the practices are derived from Buddhist teachings, no special religious beliefs are necessary; we perform no religious rituals. The meditation practices are suitable for those of any or no religion.

Pete Thomas - In November, 2005, Pete Thomas walked away from the finale of NBC's The Biggest Loser 2 a winner - and a loser. The prize he won was $100,000 for losing the highest percentage of weight among those contestants who had been voted off the show. What he had lost was 185 pounds in nine months ... and with it an unhealthy lifestyle that Pete, armed with knowledge about nutrition and exercise, has truly put behind him.

In addition, his personal struggles with weight and his newfound knowledge and passion for nutrition and exercise have lead to him personally developing a ten week comprehensive health and wellness class entitled, 'Lose It Fast Lose It Forever™’ which he currently teaches in Michigan in conjunction with the Ann Arbor Public Schools Department of Recreation and Education.
